 Location Sound - Downy Karvonen
As a location sound recordist and an audio post production engineer, Downy
Karvonen's experience includes animation, dramatic, educational, commercial, sports, and documentary productions. Downy
began his career as a documentary sound recordist and for the last 17 years has developed his craft, which has sent him to
many areas around the world, including the United States and South Africa.
In addition to the prolific and internationally popular Karvonen Films
documentary productions, Downy's soundtracks have been broadcast in 48 countries around the world by broadcasters such as
National Geographic, Discovery Channel Europe, USA and Canada, and CBC's Nature of Things. Downy has also supplied
recordings for IMAX Canada and Todd AO in Los Angeles. Most recently, Downy has been requested to design innovative audio
environments to enhance the visual experience in various museums located in the United States. |
